Welcome to Rasterbator.app. By accessing or using our website, software utilities, or related web services, you agree to comply with and be bound by these Terms of Service (“Terms”). If you do not agree with any provision of these Terms, you must discontinue use of the service immediately.

Rasterbator.app operates as an independent web-based utility designed to decompose digital images into tiled multi-page PDF documents optimized for DIY home printing and wall art assembly.

2. Permitted Use & Software License

Subject to these Terms, Rasterbator.app grants you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to access and use the web application free of charge for personal, educational, artistic, and lawful commercial purposes.

You may print, assemble, frame, and display physical posters generated using our software. You may not resell, redistribute, scrape, or bundle the underlying web application code or embed the service in third-party frames without express written authorization.

3. User Artwork & Intellectual Property Responsibilities

You retain all rights, title, and interest in and to the source images, photographs, illustrations, and visual assets you process using Rasterbator.app. Because our application operates entirely on the client side in your device browser:

• No Content Ownership Claim: Rasterbator.app claims zero copyright or licensing interest in your uploaded images or resulting PDF files.
• User Warranty of Legal Rights: You represent and warrant that you hold the legal copyright, trademark permission, or applicable license for any image you choose to rasterize and print.
• Third-Party Infringement: You agree not to use the service to reproduce, distribute, or display materials that violate third-party intellectual property rights, trademarks, or publicity rights.

4. Disclaimer of Warranties on Physical Printing Output

Rasterbator.app provides software calculations and PDF vector generation on an “as is” and “as available” basis. Because physical print results depend on variables outside of our control—including individual printer hardware, ink formulation, driver scale settings, paper curling, and manual trimming precision—we do not warrant that:

• The physical output will match your computer monitor colors without standard RGB-to-CMYK color shift.
• Adjoining sheets will align seamlessly if your printer dialog is set to “Fit to Page” instead of “Actual Size (100%)”.
• The service will operate without transient network interruption on legacy hardware.

5. Prohibited Activities

When using Rasterbator.app, you agree not to engage in any conduct that harms the platform or other users, including:

• Attempting to probe, scan, or compromise the security, integrity, or bandwidth of our content delivery servers.
• Launching automated denial-of-service attacks or excessive automated scraping that degrades platform availability for other users.
• Using the platform to generate or distribute unlawful, defamatory, or harassing visual materials in violation of applicable laws.

6. Limitation of Liability & Indemnification

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Rasterbator.app and its operators shall not be liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of, or inability to use, the platform or any resulting physical prints.

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Rasterbator.app against any claims, losses, liabilities, or legal expenses arising from your violation of these Terms or infringement upon third-party copyright.

7. Independent Initiative Notice

Rasterbator.app is an independent open web initiative designed to provide a modern, web-standards-compliant alternative for halftone poster tiling. It is not affiliated with, sponsored by, or endorsed by the legacy desktop software developers of rasterbator.net.
