About Rasterbator.app

Why Rasterbator.app Exists

Rasterbator.app makes large-format poster creation practical for people who only have a normal home or office printer. Instead of sending a file to a print shop, you can turn one image into a tiled PDF, print the pages on standard paper, and assemble them into a much larger wall poster.

The tool is designed for students, artists, teachers, event organizers, decorators, hobbyists, and anyone who wants to experiment with oversized visual work without installing specialist software.

How the Poster Tool Works

You choose an image, select the paper size and poster dimensions, adjust the halftone or color settings, preview the result, and generate a multi-page PDF. Each PDF page represents one section of the final poster and can include crop marks and page labels to make trimming and assembly easier.

The printing and assembly guide explains how to print at 100% scale, trim the correct edges, align the artwork, and avoid common problems such as white gaps or blurry output.

Privacy and Browser-Based Processing

Files selected from your device are processed in your browser during the normal poster-generation flow. This means the source image does not need to be uploaded to an application server to create the preview or PDF. Images loaded from a remote URL may require an intermediate request to retrieve that external file.

Rasterbator.app does not require an account for the core tool. Details about analytics, advertising, cookies, and contact data are explained in the Privacy Policy and Cookie Policy.

Independent Project and Responsible Use

Rasterbator.app is an independent browser-based project and is not affiliated with the original Rasterbator desktop software. Users are responsible for making sure they have permission to use the images they choose, especially for commercial displays, advertising, public events, or copyrighted artwork.

How We Improve the Site

The site is maintained by testing the poster workflow, reviewing printing problems, improving multilingual instructions, and updating pages when the interface or output changes. The poster gallery shows practical visual examples, while the mainRasterbator tool lets you create your own poster.
